Old website by a cyber-security company did not converts leads

Some time back, IT experts for Vijilan realized that the company wasn’t generating much despite the high traffic that flocked on their website. The company had huge potential but how could they convert the many landings on their website?

The landing page wasn’t good enough

Vijilan’s old landing page was attractive and experienced a large number of visitors. The content layout on the website was however not so motivating to the visitors and most of them couldn’t stay on the page for long. Visitors were scrolling through page sections in search of more information and when they couldn’t easily find it they would be frustrated and start leaving the website.

Goal

The goal was to increase conversion rates.

Approach

There were several steps involved in making the final design of the page. The first one was to first understand the user through user research, the problem statement, and the user journey map. This first step made it possible to understand that information was not clear on what Vijilan offers. It was also determined that customers would like more details about products as well as the pricing. This was followed by the initial stages of the design which included wireframe, Lo-fi design, and usability test. The final step was refining the design.

The New page is a relief

In collaboration with web designers, Vijilan created a better landing page with higher capabilities. The new page offered a one-stop platform for more operations. Visitors would have access to more information with a brief overview of everything the company does and they would even spend more time on the website than before.

My Final Thoughts

The new landing page looks more professional and cleaner. It does a better job than before by achieving the goal of converting more visitors’ landing and giving users all the information they need to make informed choices.
